Get down and nerdy
Use the pizza and the pan calculator as they are, or get down and nerdy by adjusting them to your setup, including fermentation times and temperatures.
Yeast before you feast
Most pizza styles need just a tiny amount of yeast, often so small that your kitchen scale can't measure it. With our tool, you can measure these tiny amounts using your smartphone.

Size matters
The outdoor oven is made entirely from 3mm thick(0.12in) corten steel sheets.
When assembled, the oven is 85cm (33,5in) high, 37cm (14,6in) wide and 40cm (15,8in) deep.
The oven weighs 43 kg.
The top part of the oven holds two baking stones made out of high-quality cordierite. (32 x 30 x 1,5cm ; 12,6 x 11,8 x 0,6in)
Fire
Start by placing small pieces of kindling wood inside the oven, then start a fire. Once the fire is going, you can slowly start to add bigger logs of hardwood (length 25 cm, diameter 7 cm). After 20 to 35 minutes, the oven is preheated. Now you can start cooking. The oven can reach temperatures of up to 450°C (850°F).Smoke
Once the oven is up to temperature, it produces very little to no smoke. Here’s how:
To create fire without smoke, you need 3 ingredients: fuel, oxygen, and heat.
Fuel
Should be clean, dry hardwood (moisture level around 20%).Oxygen
The Outdoor Oven can create a great amount of draw thanks to its internal airflow system, which pulls in lots of oxygen. This makes for a very efficient burn with little to no smoke.Heat
This is the final ingredient for an efficient burn and is also the ingredient you will probably be missing the first 15 minutes after starting up your fire. That’s why you can expect some smoke development at the beginning of your cooking sessions.EU shipping within 1-5 business days.
Worldwide shipping within 2 weeks.
Non-EU orders are exempt of Dutch VAT but must pay local import tax upon delivery.

Corten steel
The outdoor oven is made entirely from 3mm thick (0.12in) corten steel sheets.Corten is a steel alloy that forms a protective layer of rust on its surface. When you order our outdoor oven, you will receive it without any rust. As soon as you place your oven outside, where it will be subject to different weather conditions, the rusting process will set in. Depending on where you live, the process of turning from blank to rusty steel can take between a few months up to a year.
The steel is meant to rust in order to form a protective coating. In the first phase of the rusting process, some flakes of rust might come loose, but after a while, this will stop and the oven will get its final look.
The top part of the oven holds two baking stones made out of food-grade, high-quality cordierite. This material has a very low thermal expansion, which makes it ideal for use in ovens. The baking stones absorb the heat from the flames and pass it on to the food. This way, when you bake a pizza, it will always have that perfect light and crispy base. The stones can withstand temperatures of over 1000 degrees (Celcius).
When I just started Städler Made, I made every oven I sold myself. This gave me a feeling of great satisfaction and pride.
Making every oven myself is not possible anymore. Luckily, I’m working closely with a third-generation steel company right here in the Netherlands. They make your Outdoor Oven and take great pride in doing so. Keeping the manufacturing local, enables me to keep a close eye on the quality, making sure you can enjoy the best product possible.
